Zoe-perry
Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as seen by flashback), her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's initial TV roles. The parents of her were not keen to let her take on acting roles until she was older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry was shy in high-school and didn't act. The actress began her acting career in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred from Boston University. Perry managed to get minor TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent when she finished her degree. Homesickness, however, caused her to move to California to return, where she started to work in the stage. Perry was a part of the cast with her mother as part of The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. In 2015, she performed with her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played a part in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. In 2017, Perry starred in the role of a political thriller Scandal with her father. Also, she was cast on her role on the CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. The part was offered by audition even though she was a cousin with the character.
