Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American performer, singer and actress. When she was a kid, Sara was racially taunted by American citizens of all races. In the 9th grade, she felt more confident when she was applauded by her teachers when she sang at the school's audition. It not only increased her confidence but her dreams changed. When she was 22, she was able to graduate from the Julliard School of New York. When she was 23, her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail, were her biggest break. The role in The lad from The Lake is her most memorable break, earning an award for her performance, the Tony Award in addition to the acclaim of critics for her performance. Her fame grew for her appearance on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. She is also a known performer and has released an extended play. She has also been an advocate for LGBT concerns.
